Messages Through Dreams

My Dreamlife

My dreamlife has always been busy since I was a young child. I’ve had a lot of dreams that had no symbolic significance, but I’ve also had a lot of dreams that were deeply symbolic. I’ve had a lot of dreams that have warned me about impending dangers and helped me get ready for difficult situations.

Some of my dreams required interpretation because I didn’t fully understand them. Other dreams have a tendency to reoccur. Many dreams are cast in a cloud of darkness, while others are depicted in light and color. I have frequently seen my dreams flash by as if set on a movie screen as if to be a watcher, but I have also occasionally participated in them. I’ve also occasionally experienced a dream within a dream. As you can see, my dream life can be pretty dynamic and fascinating.

Then there are dreams that have absolutely no visuals – just sound. Most often there’s a narrator talking me through my dreams. The voice is silent but there. I wish I could make that make more sense. All I can say that it’s a voice I hear and know is there even when that voice is actually silent. I see no one, but I hear a voice as it narrates my dreams, and I subconsciously seem to know what the voice is saying. It’s most often present when I experience the dreams I relate to regarding post trauma. Those are the dreams that I feel myself literally floating outside of my body, but more on that later.

I don’t always remember my dreams, and there have been times when I didn’t think I dreamed at all. In fact, I’ve often had the impression that my dreams were either infrequent or nonexistent for the past two or three years up until recently. In any case, I’ve always paid attention to how relevant they were, and a lot of these dreams had to do with the trauma I had experienced growing up, the challenging situations I occasionally found myself in, and the relationships I had with narcissists. Most often, these dreams always had a message, and if I paid attention to details and recorded them, I’d find the answers I needed in waking life.

Stay tuned for more on my dreams and how they related to my life’s issues with narcissists and the continuation of other stories on my blog.
