There seems to be no way of avoiding narcissistic individuals, but I feel like I’ve had my fair share of being around them for years, and I’m tired. I feel like I’m at the point when my light is eventually going to go out. It’s as if lately, I’ve noticed the light missing from my eyes when I look at my reflection, and I wonder how much longer it will be before I cave into my destruction.
Although I don’t believe a person with narcissistic personality disorder is born with the sole purpose of taking out anyone’s light, I do believe that because of their disorder and the circumstances which derive from the issues of their disorder, enables them to be takers of light. Most times, those with NPD or who’d be classified as narcissists have been victims of childhood circumstances just like those I have faced, but we all can’t remain victims.
Although anyone can be a taker of light, I believe spiritual components exist that allows someone who is truly a narcissist or even highly narcissistic to be used by the kingdom of darkness to be takers of light. I say this because these types of personalities seem to be hell-bent on the destruction of others, and they often operate under influence that is otherworldly. This otherworldly influence isn’t angelic in the sense that they bring others good tidings and joy. This otherworldly influence is demonic. In fact, I believe that a very dark triad of personalities are used to kill, steal, and destroy the lives of others, including their own.
If you are a narcissist, reading this blog post, and what I’m saying offends you, so be it. If you are a narcissist enabler, and what I’m saying offends you, so be it. It is what it is, and I have lived this life suffering from the horrible effects of narcissistic abuse since birth.
To date, I have never seen narcissists change for the better or for the long haul. In fact, they are often the most unrepentant individuals. They never see anything they do wrong, and if they do, they only apologize when it’s beneficial for them to do so. They lack sincerity in remorse, and they have no depth to their empathy.
Cognitive empathy is only an awareness to recognize a person’s emotions, and a narcissist having this doesn’t amount to the true empathy one needs to feel to truly understand the emotions of others. In fact, the narcissists I’ve known seemed to only be capable of feeling rage centered hatred for others because of their intense feelings of jealousy and envy.
Even if I wasn’t around an actual narcissist everyday, I find that being around narcissistic individuals is just as fatiguing and draining. It’s unfortunate that many narcissistic individuals have a penchant for taking the spark of light they see in others too. Outside of being flying monkeys for actual narcissists, many narcissistic people want to either do harm or see harm done to people they choose to target as well. In fact, like narcissists, narcissistic individuals often willingly choose to partake in bullying activities against targets. It’s not like a narcissist even has to pull their arms to get them involved with dark activities either.
In the end, the agenda of a true narcissist remains the same. They will stand in the shadow of another trying to take as much of another’s light that they possibly can because they, themselves, are void of true light. Any light they do “shine” is artificial and reflection of the light that someone else shines. They cannot shine on their own even though they’d desperately like to shine.
A narcissist will often derive their sense of worth or shine from external validation rather than internal fulfillment. They exhibit shifting behaviors depending on their audience or situation, and they often conceal their vulnerabilities or true intentions. They will always stand in the spotlight meant for others, and this is the reality. When the light goes out, it usually goes out for the target or victim of a narcissist. Whatever you do, please continue to shine.
