When Talking About Narcissistic Abuse Becomes Exhausting

There are seasons when I grow tired of even thinking about narcissistic personalities — let alone dealing with them. I get weary of explaining the same wounds, dissecting the same patterns, and offering insights that cost me my peace.

Sometimes I just want silence. Stillness. A moment where the world stops spinning so I can breathe without analyzing, defending, or healing.

There is no shame in stepping back. Talking about trauma is not the same as living in it, but when you are surrounded daily by people who drain your spirit, even the conversation becomes heavy. Detoxing from narcissistic energy requires rest … not repetition.

I just had to step away for a while because talking about narcissistic abuse is often just as exhausting as living it.
