The Fatigue of Always Being the Strong One

There is a different kind of exhaustion that comes from being the most emotionally intelligent person in the room.

You see the dynamics they pretend not to see.

You feel the shifts others ignore.

And you end up being the one who regulates the chaos they create.

People don’t realize how draining it is to constantly rise above disrespect, manipulation, and immaturity.

Strength is a gift, but it is also a burden — especially when you are living in a world where emotional laziness is the norm.

Sometimes I don’t want to cope. Sometimes I don’t want to rise above. Sometimes I just want peace.
